SoCalGas and CR&R Environmental Announce RNG Pipeline Construction

SoCalGas and CR&R Environmental Services, a waste management company in Southern California, have begun construction of an eight-inch pipeline that will carry RNG into the SoCalGas distribution system for the first time. CR&R Environmental is funding the 1.4-mile pipeline, which will connect an existing SoCalGas pipeline to a new CR&R anaerobic digestion facility in Perris, to be completed this spring. RNG from the facility will power CR&R’s fleet of 900 waste-hauling trucks, and SoCalGas plans to begin bringing the RNG into its pipelines by June.
