The California Air Resources Board (CARB) will hold a public workshop on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (PT) to discuss potential strategies aimed at reducing emissions from medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. The event will take place virtually via Zoom and in person at CalEPA Headquarters, Byron Sher Auditorium, 1001 I Street, Sacramento.
Medium- and heavy-duty trucks remain among the largest contributors to harmful emissions in California, impacting air quality and public health. This workshop is critical for manufacturers, fleet operators, and industry stakeholders as CARB explores new compliance pathways, zero-emission opportunities, and operational requirements that could shape future business models.
The proposed strategies will no doubt influence how fleets operate, define manufacturers’ technology priorities, and determine the pace of the transition to zero-emission vehicles. Attendees will gain insight into regulatory timelines and have an opportunity to help guide policies affecting freight, logistics, and clean transportation goals.
Stakeholders and interested parties are encouraged to attend and provide input. Registration is required for online participation. If you cannot join live, the meeting will be recorded and posted on CARB’s Drive Forward Fleet webpage, where you can access meeting materials and additional details.
